About Cabaret Parodia Founded in 2015 by Esteban Pantoja, Cabaret Parodia was established with the mission of enriching Spanish-speaking theater for the LGBTQIA+ community. By incorporating premier Chicago Latine Drag performers, they offer comedic musical parodies inspired by everyday narratives. Their past productions, such as Ofelia La Princesa Fea, Cuna De Brujas, and Un Pozole Con La Frida, have garnered enthusiastic responses from audiences. In 2023, their musical revue Que Dramaticas formed part of the 6th Destinos Chicago International Latino Theater Festival. As the only Latine LGBTQIA+ theatre company on Chicago's South Side, they have established themselves as pioneers and changemakers.
