Repertorio Latino was born in 1998 thanks to the initiative of a group of Hispanic actors with a firm commitment to raising the quality and presence of theater in Spanish in the city of Chicago. The group arose when, after working for approximately a year with the Latino Experimental Theater Company, under the direction of Miguel López Lemus, several of the members decided to form their own theater group.
